i currently have a stick of 512 pc2100 in my comp. I have a stick of 512 pc3200 being delivered. my question is which would be faster? 1024 of pc2100 (3200 being reduced to 2100 speed) or 512mb of pc3200.

which should i do?

EDIT: another question, is 3200 speed noticebly faster? or is it just going to be the same?

If your motherboard can run it at 400 then put the PC3200 by itself and use the PC2100 in another PC or sell it.

thats what i was thinking as it would give me more room for increasing my cpu fbs. but i didnt know if that would be faster than the gig or ram or not.

then you might get better performance from using just the pc3200 ram..
