Fixing the Main page

I am having a programmer fix the Main page (filesharingtalk.com). This iwll make it load faster and direct to the correct forum.

Does anyone have any other ideas for the main site?

-check if the banner @ the front page is registrated by you. (so its not 7thElement's)
-update the fst_mini.gif
-'KL Board Login' under fst_mini.gif need 2 be changed.
-what about the news section... who will keep this up2date etc...

Yep:01:. However people could try and design a new template totally redesigning the front page but keeping all the links and info there.

My problem with rossco's was that when i tried implementing it, the page would not load. I'm not good with php, therefore I'm allowing my programmer to do it. I will try to have him make all those changes.

Well... There are members here that could solve whatever problems with the site or ever redesign it to the way you want.

It's just that I need to be able to trust someone logging into the ftb not only of this site but the entire server, thats why I went with my programmer.

I jsut looked at it and i think the problem is that I named it show_home.php but the browser is trying to either read whatever the name of the current page is OR index.php.

if you can tell me what the main site's file name is i can fix it up.

Of course a programmer dude would be able to make a much better home page than me, but at a cost.

edit: and you could have told me this long ago and it would have been fixed.

edit2: you also dont need ftp access if you just say what the file names are then whoever is designing it can just work around the current files to make it better. (dont give anyone the file with the database\mysql info).

i will add the google ads if you can tell me the code for it. (the one from the page source of the forum didn't seem to be working) It needs to be around the size of 450*75 or so.

Most links are fixed to direct to this forum now. A few other changes will be done within a day or so.

there's a problem with the database so the news thing has to be fixed. ;)
