What drivers are you using? I'm using the 4.8 at the moment and all is well.

Have you changed your settings in doom, such as AA?

I got the drivers from this link:
http://ati.com/support/drivers/winxp/radeonwdm-xp.html?type=xp&prodType=graphic&prod=productsXPdriver&submit.x=11&submit.y=7&submit=GO%21

I downloaded first one!

I never changed settings for Doom 3 or Half life 2....Doom 3 was workin great..I mean great graphics and all...but now not anymore! Things disappear quite frequantly.....

I recently replaced my Nvidea card(mx440 64 Mb) with the VERY SAME CARD you have now......I installed the drivers out of the box.......and Viola' my DOOM3 wont run anymore (at all......It loaded game then crashed to the desktop. VERY disappointing) So.....I too went to the website and downloaded the latest drivers for the card...Now all's well in gametown again
(halo, Doom3, unreal tournement 2004, etc...) run like never before

I would suggest mearly re-installing your catalyst drivers from the ATI website
http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html
also, make sure there is nothing in the bios messing with the AGP settings
( but this is only my suggestion)

Also.you did not meantion much about the comp you are using the card in.
(the more info you provide, the better the analyisis of the problem, thus providing us users with a more comprhensive solution)
