My iPod doesnt have a sleep button, or option for it in the Menu, IIRC.

And btw, when it says do not disconnect, its because it is connected to your computer, and is ready to transfer songs.

I transfer songs over by making a master iPod playlist, containing all the songs I want on my iPod, then put that playlist on my iPod, and have it sync that list everytime the iPod is connected.

I have an ipod now.
So now i can help you. :P

It says dont disconnect now because you need to hok it back up the the computer. Then it will show an icon down in system tray that if u right click u can select eject or remove.

OR in iTunes click the little eject button next to "Ipod" on the left side.

If you have the extra money I would get a protector or case for your ipod because it scratches so easily

I got a 20gig ipod from Best Buy for $330 + tax, it's really easy to use just install itunes and hook the wires up. The thing I don't like is that the battery life could be a bit longer.

@h1, you should try restoring your ipod to factory defaults, there should be a program folder called "ipod" in your start menu
