What's the foolproof plan to convert from many video formats into a single dvd format that supports 5.1? I need something fast and easy.. nothing over 5 steps.

You may want to take a look vosDivXToDVD although as for the 5.1 Im note sure...

I always use TMPGEnc to convert to DVD. Wizard does most of it for you.
