Still trying to do that. I'm not too familiar with the vb admin panel so it's taking time
The easiest way i can think is o highlight the logo and you can see the top part is made up of about 6 different images. Get the name of the image you want to replace, then upload your logo as the same name.

The skin should ahev come with a template for a logo.

Just open that in photoshop or fireworks if you have then add filesharingtalk in the right colors.
paint will work too but not as well.

If you use the old one it's gonna look kinda funny...

Well I'm off to work in a few. I tried my best with the synapse skin. That will do for now. Maybe someone can do so photshop work for the chromo skin.

Chromo skins is :cool: but someone with photoshop skills need to edit the top pictures.

Oh, could be because i have that tweak that makes the username smaller.
It's my only idea...the underline would normally be at the height u guys have it at.

Height is right but still too wide though. Needs to be about 40 pixels narrower to get rid of the side scroll bar.

no, the current default Style will stay default. it will maybe change when another skin is completely finished. (logo's etc.. )

well I got the logo up and the "your slogan here" gone, but the alignment problem isn;t corrected. It's weird. The spot where it is messed up is not really an image. Not sure how to fix it.

Chromo skin:

I removed all the top pictures.
we need a logo that matches the Chromo skin lay-out. its limited in width size because their will be a banner next 2 it. is there anyone who wants to help creating a nice logo?

I like the Chromo and more so Im sure when a logo arrives.
Can the _back.gif be changed to white so that you dont have

known bugs in the Chromo skin:

using IE:
there is a line under the banner.

using Firefox:
There is a line through the custom member title

The team page is messed up.
logging out while using the Chromo skin gives an error.
Board rules link needs 2 be added.

The line is the line under a link but firefox shows it 2 low.

I removed the bottom of your logo so the banner was shown higher

havent done anything with the Synapse skin yet first the Chromo needs 2 be done.

in the folder with the skin there will be a fdile called something.css (most likely chrome.css OR style.css).

In there u can set test-decoration to none (text-decoration:none)

EDIT: didnt have AdBlock installed yet on 1.0, anyway its interesting when I block it the backround changes to a lite blue which is much smooter. Ive attached an image of it.

Well I was tweaking in FF and I found the name of it so I think you can just make a clear or white gif and overwrite it...

I like the skin overall. Two suggestions though:

1. Make 'quoted' segments with a different background color.

It would make them a little easier to see
2. Another contrast suggestion. Make the reply boxes a different color or the text a different color. Black text on a dark gray box isnt the best ;)

Just my two pennies. :D

It's black text on a white background here. I'm using Firefox with the standard editor options. Maybe fiddle about with your Message Editor Interface in the Options part of your CP.

The standard option is -> standard text editior. so I dont understand what you mean what you mean.

The other option has a black screen in the text editor and I cant fix that. doesnt matter what skin you use.

And can you remove annoying fuctions like the PM confirmation notice? :angry:Skins generally are just a different way of overlaying a visual interpretation on top of existing functions. Since there is a general "go to top" function it may well be possible to add a button or link to do that.

However, the PM read confirmation is a little different.

Firstly it is coded into the VB scripts so changing that popup is going to be a little difficult.
Secondly, there are times when it actually is needed, so removing it permanently isn't an option either.

Personally I'd like to see it as a check box on each message rather than a popup, with the users default preference set up in User CP options, but until VB3 changes I can't really see that happening any time soon.

in the chrome skin if you click the little arrow beside name in the bar above a post (hope u know what im talking about) it takes you to the top.

I think there's more buttons too but i adblocked a lot of them so not sure where they would be.
