When is the MPAA, RIAA, etc...going to understand that no matter how hard they try, or how many lawsuits they fire out, that piracy will never stop? Idiots. ;)

But unlike other popular file-sharing programs, the more people swap data on BitTorrent, the quicker it flowstrue of all p2p apps
"It is unusual, perhaps unique, in that the moment you start downloading you are also uploading,"you cant possibly upload until you have a chunk which you have downloaded, so it isnt the same moment....

wish people would get their facts right :)

true of all p2p appsyou cant possibly upload until you have a chunk which you have downloaded, so it isnt the same moment....

wish people would get their facts right :)

You should say true for most apps because there are some where that doesn't matter... SS for example.

Also about BT uploading right away it depends on the torrent. but most people tell the torrent they make to distrbute small chunks at a time and not large chunks... So once 256kb is downloaded it starts to upload and thats almost instant for me to get 256kb downloaded.

ah but it aint "at the same moment"...and in SS, thats true, though in effect you're the seed (to one person), so in much the same way, this wouldnt apply to BT either...i think the article was more focused at people downloading, not seediing :)
