Hey, there was this one forum i liked to go to but i got kicked out for being a little too harsh, and now whenever i try to click on forum on that site, it says "you're ip address has been banned" . So, i was wondering, is there a program that emulates various ip addresses for you, so that I can get around this issue? sort of a requesting a "fake ip address" i guess.

Is there a trick to do it?

One second search on google:

There mostly good. You should test it out here (http://www.checker.freeproxy.ru/checker/)

(assuming your using internet explorer) Go to internet explorer properties, (right clilck the icon on the desktop) Go to connections tab. select your ISP connection, hit settings. In the proxy settings section type in the proxy server you want to use:

http://img84.exs.cx/img84/8739/untitled6wx.th.jpg (http://img84.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img84&image=untitled6wx.jpg)

If there is nothing listed there then click the "LAN settings" button and use that.

Alot of those proxies do not work.

Even ones from my region, just keep IE from loading pages...or loads them extremely slowly, like maybe at .01 kb/s...

alright quick update.....

i tried one of the proxies as you mentioned with the "anonymous" status and YAY!! COOL...it WORKS......so now i can access the forum......the problem is SHESsh......you weren't kidding on the slow loading pages.......man......this reminds me of back when i had my 28.8 modem....

So the thing is that I only want to use that proxy feature to access that forum, and once i get out and close their windows, i want to return back to my original state and have my usual dsl speed. SO is it okay to toggle on and off that thing? Will the forum people be able to track me if i do that?
