Unless you just want to run into a car dealership with your pants around your ankles. I got some questions. How long do you plan (yes I said plan) on keeping this vehicle. Is money a concern (cash on the barrel, monthly pymnts, repairs, gas, ins., etc.)? Do you plan (yes theres that word again) on going off-roading? Is new important to you, if so why? There's the very basics, ignore all this if the 1st sentence fits you.

am not in car dealership, ill keep my car, buying a 2nd hand car is equal to more reparing and expenses also it wont last much. offcorse money is the 1st thing to think about but with bank loan there wouldnt be much concer but biggest fear is my job, i work as a casher in bank and any mistakes will cuase make me die in debat.

Toyota Camry 2005

My dad owns a Toyota Avensis, and he's used a huge variety of cars in his line of work. He said Toyota are really on form and he hasn't had any trouble from his car in over a year.

The Toyota Camry 2005 looks decent too :)

Certainly JD Powers surveys suggest that Japanese is the smart buy.

My Nissan (touch wood) has given me a couple of years of good service. I would buy another.

Good move if you're a woodworker, though.

The only American car worth buying is the Ford GT Clicky (http://img122.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img122&image=fordintro011504v27mf.swf)

So unless you're thinking about that don't go American.

If you are thinking about it, then buy an Aston Martin DB9.

That is all

DB9 is evil!

It over rides my ecological gene.

Of the poll options stay with a Toyota Camry.

I had a '93 Camry that ran perfect until it was totaled.

I now have Lincoln LS (Ford product) and a '92 Camry. Both are fine.

My mother has a '05 Camry.
There is a reason that the Camry is now the number one selling car in America.

Land Rover makes good trucks but the only one worth looking at is the Range Rover. The Discovery and other are shit to look at.

My friend in NYC has one and I can't believe he bought one new when he had the money for a Range. Super expensive for both so you may as well get good performance and cosmetics.

It actually looks like the Range Rover.

Busyman

Range Rover was no good to us, we needed the extra seats. Our Discovery seats 7.
...and I must say that it looks very nice to boot.

I'm going to take a look at the photo gallery.

since the subject has switched to exotics, anyone seen the new Chrysler ME (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0411_chrysler/index.html)? fastest stock car in the world, when it comes out, no date as of yet. mofo's bad ass tho :)

Busyman

Tis an older one we have. Got it when the kids were younger for transporting the whole clan about.
The old one looks like a safari truck. Not my cup o' tea. :)

I looked at the photo gallery of the LR3 and I see I don't like it. It still has that weird looking back on it.

Busyman
01-03-2005, 04:51 PM
I think it's the defender you're thinking about.

The Discovery was brought out as sort half way between the two.

This is like ours

http://img.drive.com.au/drive_images/CasualAds_images/1743627__m.jpg http://img.drive.com.au/drive_images/CasualAds_images/1743627_2_m.jpg

It's a 4L V8 Automatic, Jasper Conrad designed interior type thing.
No it's the same. Just like the new LR3 is named such but is basically a Discovery.

If it's American it won't be able to go round corners.
read the other reviews of the car, there's 3 on the site i linked to. they say it actually handles very well, and is based off stability technology they aquired after they bought Mecedes ;)

it might have been another magazine or site, can't remeber exactly  but i remember reading it

You should really start that with "I'm Capricorn and ..."
.....I like chrome dubs and handguns in the trick door and TV screens in the headrests and subs in truck and ........

Busyman
01-04-2005, 02:07 PM
Has your ride been pimped then.
Not really.

I have the trick door and chrome 17" wheels (not on right now because it's winter).

I don't have 20's or TV's in the headrest. I have to allocate money for more important stuff right now and can't 2000+ dollars for niceties. Hell I'm trying to get an addition on the house this spring....I'm poor.

I have one portable DVD player for the 3-year old even though I prefer me and her running our mouths instead of the idiot box.

TheDave
01-04-2005, 02:14 PM
is a trick door like an acme hole in a wall, where it looks open the people bump into the door and swear?

It's hidden and good for keeping valuables.

It itself, is expensive to put in but well worth it.

Are you American btw, because only an American would say "stability technology" when they meant suspension.
handling is based on WAY more than your suspension setup

and when i said "stability technology" i was refering to the computers that have been showing up in newer cars which calculate for certain road conditions and adjust, in in milliseconds, for pretty much any road hazard to improve handling ;)

i've read of certain one's that can actually correct a driver's over-correction to prevent fishtailing and what not. i don't think it comes stock with any cars at the moment, but a sweet technology none the less :)

btw, Mercedes is freakin german. so, what's the US have to do with anything?

TheDave

so suspension then?

TheDave
01-04-2005, 06:39 PM
i dont know much about cars so i dont know if thats at me or with me. i thought suspension was suspension whether its leafsprings or computer controlled hydrolics.

TheDave
01-04-2005, 06:54 PM
cant they just say better suspension or advanced suspension or we went to europeland and, apparently we're 100 years behind

nsane
01-05-2005, 03:19 PM
yall completely overlooked the big picture, as usuall. yes, i was talking about suspension. but, it's still based on way more than that <_<

go replace a SUV's loose suspension with a really tight one and watch how fast that fucker flips over. then tell me, it had nothing to do with the SUV being top heavy with a front mounted engine

btw, just because im from America and disagree with you doesn't mean you should start calling me a racist and shit. i didn't say anything bad about europe, i actually complemented the german's on their engeineering, which you left out yer quote

pessimistic people, grrrrr <_<

TheDave
01-05-2005, 03:24 PM
i never said anything like that, and i dont understand you.

but yes, pessimism is a british trait

cpt_azad
01-05-2005, 03:27 PM
british? blasphemy  !

TheDave
01-05-2005, 03:29 PM
uh. sure....?

nsane
01-05-2005, 11:11 PM
yes, obviously solved or answered :P

@dave - i know, i kinda went over the deep end there, i'll admit. it's just when you acted like i was disagreeing with you souly because you were from europe kinda pissed me off. as i don't judge people on their race/gender/sexual preference/loacation/whatever, and i don't like people thinking i do. you see where i'm going with this ;)

basicly, what got me going to begin with was how JPaul said the car sucked simply because it was american. that's was a nice judegment by the way, considering how you haven't even drove the damn thing. plus the fact someone that has drove it says it handles like a dream. but keep judging things based on the origins, you'll go real far in life with that attitude
