My PC is:

Intel Celeron 2.5Ghz
HD 80GB
128MB Ram
(with close to 8GB in music
and 10BG in video. And lots of programs)

The thing is that when I start it on,
it takes like five or more minutes dor it to be ready,
you just see the red light of blinkin and blinkin,
the hasr drive keeps working and working,
what the heck is it doing? ...lol.
-On my other PC (wich I instaled the Operative Sistem
and had full of music too)
took just 30 secs. at most.

So, what do you think I could do,
I think I heard some where about some settings for this thing
but I don´t know, What do you think?
Im getting tired of it.
Ok, Thanks guys.

Type in the runbox "msconfig" minus the quotes and disable startup items that you dont need, and run bootvis, also defrag and diskclean up.

i dont know what you guys said, but DONT use msconfig: http://www.blackviper.com/AskBV/XP25.htm

ow, and have you tried a reformat?

that often helps........ although 128 MB RAM is a lil low, but have you allways had this problem or just recently?

There's nothing wrong with using msconfig to diagnose problems, as long as you don't use it to disable services.

A tip often overlooked: don't put a lot of things on your desktop or in your quickstart taskbar. Windows has to open each program to find the icon, and if you've got a lot of them and a relatively small amount of memory this can take an awful long time.

If you speak n english you can get more help...

but anyway, read The Everything Guide (http://everythingguide.tk) (mainly, the tuneup\tweaks section) for some tips on imporving your system performance.

You should also scan for viruses, trojans, and spyware. More information on that in the security section.

edit: @lynx, i never knew that.
lol i knew there must be a reason why I hate having desktop icons. :P

I think i might add this to my guide. :)
