TB is hosted in the Netherlands this week there were 2 major Emule sites taken down.
I dunno if TB has been down because they needed to fix something or BREIN (dutch MPAA) was responsible.

Torrent sites have been getting hit hard lately. Quit a few have been forced to shut down.

I just checked and SN is also having problems. Try going to search.suprnova.org , you can still search for stuff.

(YES - this is going to be one of the Puppy's long boring posts,

Firstly, I have to say,
I am extremely dissapointed with the response from some of the members of the TB community.
Scare-mongering and spreading rumours is not the most helpful thing to do in a situation like this!
I know everyone is unhappy about it, but don't burn your bridges with insults or by playing the blame game!

Secondly,
I am extremely delighted with the reponse form some of the members of the TB community.
Members like DeeJee, and Warlok, who are trying to keep us all together,
to get the correct information out. There are probably more that I don't know about yet....
and all those working behind the scenes.... Thanks guys Very Happy

OK lets get down to it.
A few facts:-
- I am extremely sad to report, that I have just found out that, TB, as we know it, is DEAD.
- The full reason why Rb choose to close down is still not yet known
- Rb was "on holiday" when the site went down, and is in no position to put it back up again,
or explain anything, until he gets back
- There was a Ddos attack - After the site went down!

One more fact:-
Nobody, REPEAT, nobody, except Redbeard knows what Redbeard is planning to do.

Keep watching torrentbits.org for a statement.

This sucks big time. I got way to complacent over the last year or so with BT. I used to be a more active member on other sites, but bt is so fucking easy that I just concentrated on that scene for a while because no work was involved. Now it seems like everything is falling apart, but I doubt that to be the case. After the FLT busts shit really hit the fan and many people chose to let up when the pressure is on to avoid getting in serious legal/financial troubles.

The current situation seems to be similar to that. A few site were taken down and now other top sites are calling it quits in the interest of safety. Since this stuff is much more public than other sites we have near DDOS levels of traffic hitting other top torrent sites looking for some type of comfort, or what have you. Seriously though the best thing to do now is sit back and relax. Let this all blow over and enjoy the holidays and there will most certainly be sites to go to in the future.
