Can someone explain what happened at the end of Half Life 2? Iv just completed it but don't understand it? He doesnt answer any questions, what happens to Alex?

We dont even find out what happened inbetween half Life 1 and 2 (theres a 5 or 6 year gap)

lol yeah i just sad how stupid the ending was on another thread

seriously if you ask me the whole story wasnt what i acppected
it leaves to many questions opened and opens a whole lot of new ones

still it was a great story for the time period that you played in the game ( hope you understand what i mean here )

and the ending is really annoying
just like HL1 ending

cause it makes you think right away
CRAP another 5 stupid years so i can see what happens at the end of this one

Still its one of the best games by far
i just hope they make the next HL fast :P

well if they answered all the questions we wouldn't be talking about HL2.


i think it was just a job btw. whether saving the world was personal or not is upto the gamer. you're just part of a much bigger story you don't need to know

A-2 You've gotta tell me man. What happened to Alyx, Barney, Eli, and Dog? Sorry, We simply don't know. Remember, however, that the Combine portal you destroyed was attached to a huge Combine energy reactor. The explosion could potentially level all of City 17. So basically, if nobody saved Alyx, Barney, Eli, and Dog, they are all as good as dead. But we'll have to see.
