What's the best tool for cleaning my temp directory's?

I think they're looking a bit huge. I can't remember where the setting was to change the size of disk space it is allowed to use up.

Thanks, Sam ;)

http://www.ccleaner.com/ CrapCleaner. Freeware, nice and small. Cleans out IE tracks and Firefox/Mozilla tracks.

Is Webroot Window Washer any good?

of course - AdAware & Registry Mechanic are a must have. I also like Spybot S&D, and Ewido. Ive been using Mcafee Virus scan also. This is an ongoing tossup between Mcafee and Norton.....just depends on personal pref. I suppose. For now these seem to be doing a fine job.

System temp files or internet cache?
AFAIK you can't set a limit for the system temporary directories, but you can easily explore your way to "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP" and "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp" to delete them manually... you won't be able to anything that's in use so it's quite safe.
To set Internet Explorer's cache limit, go to Control Panel, open Internet Options and click the Settings button in the middle section.

Copy this into Notepad and name it clean.bat. Save it to the root of your C: drive (ie. c:\clean.bat). Or click here to download it already put together.

c:\windows\smartdrv.exe
deltree /y c:\windows\tempor~1
deltree /y c:\windows\temp
deltree /y c:\windows\tmp
deltree /y c:\windows\ff*.tmp
deltree /y c:\windows\history
deltree /y c:\windows\cookies
deltree /y c:\windows\recent
deltree /y c:\windows\spool\printers
del c:\WIN386.SWP
exit
