I'm planning to get myself either the 20GB or 40GB iPod.

It must be 4th Generation and brand new (retail box).

I thought that since we have people around the world on this board, we can find the cheapest iPod deals. (not including free ipod links, matrix systems etc).

I will start. Cheapest I've found is;

warning: watch out for customs. i imported a nintendo ds from hong kong to england and customs slapped ~30% on and didn't tell me till it was at my door

customs really do have a way of making england cheaper than USA. After bringing any electronics in to England I think they get jealous of the price and make it more expensive just to piss me off......or maybe i'm taking it a bit personally.

i think its out of spite for importing stuff, so it is kind of personal when you take into account normal vat is 17.5%

Hopefully the falling dollar value will make it worthwhile to import, even with risk of import tax

yep. uk ds preorder and expected retail price = £150

import jap ds £100 + £30 tax n stuff = £130

if there was US ones in stock they would have been £80

ipod are so ghey its funny everyone seems to want one just to have it.
IMO the iRiver is much, MUCH better. Color display, can view pictures and stuff. has a built in radio that you can record.
anyone seriously looking into portable mp3 players would never get a ipod unless its some kind of fashion statement or to be "cool"
