I just installed norton utilities 2003. I use win98 and just upgraded from
NU 2002.

When I try to run windoctor; it loads it up (sand clock showing) and then nothing happens.

Do U think the problem is with the version I installed. My computer/Memory or something else?

Any Ideas? <_<

There is no norton utilities 2003 i just went on to http://www.symantec.com It doesn exist u must mean norotn utilities 2002 6.0.

Also dont use norton very biggy dont like it there is many more utilties progs that are better like system mechanic and jv16 power tools> Go with thoses instead.

I like WinDoctor. It rocks. I have XP Pro. Although I have & use jv16 PowerTools, I wouldn't be without WinDoctor. Have NSW 2002. When AV subscription runs out in 5 months. I'll probably just crack it instead installing the 2003 version I have. Less hassle. :)

Windoctor is not so damn good.

There is many other progrmas that can do the same.

the-ninja69, please name the other programs. I'd like to try them. And don't mention Sys Mechanic I found it to be worthless. jv16 is great but doesn't do the same things as WinDoctor. WinDoctor is great. Thanks.

This is a fact from my knowledge and i think some other ppl will agree with me. Norton products are very buggy and always f*ck and always have to seem have some problem one or another.

Symantec is just such a nig name nobody gives other products a chance.

Zapjb is brainwashed to thinking windoctor is so remarkable if u have so many probs with windows get a new comp or renistall windows.

OK I know you can flame. But you still haven't addressed my point or answered my question. Simply stated my point: WinDoctor fixes Windows problems in a simple, easy & quick way. My question: What other program(s) fixes Windows problems in such a quick & easy way? And if WinDoctor doesn't work you got a bad copy or just reinstall it. Let's see if I get a coherent reply or a flame. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Zap... if you really want to stick with the familiarity of Norton and want to get a working version of SystemWorks 2003 then here's your sig. I'm guessing you've got a corrupt file. If this is the same file, i'd try unistalling and then reinstalling the program.

Norton SystemWorks 2003.zip (sig2dat:///|File:Norton SystemWorks 2003.zip|Length:90709892Bytes,88584KB|UUHash:=yBc6B31LD3a4nShE4m69R0o6F4w=|)

crap.. i'm new at making hyperlinks to sigs

I'll have to read up on that... but, there's all the info you'll need to find a verified copy of NAV2003.

Thanks for the help. Since I am no computer super geek; I'll stick
to easy windoctor. I am sure there's better, but I'll take easy.

It has corrected many problems in the past and I found it is quite useful.

windoctor rules. Helped me alot of time. it saves u time by checking your registry, com, activex, etc entries without u spending time having to find the bad ones, deleteing them(messin up and deleting the wrong, one MORE errors). ;) ;) ;) newbies, experts.. use windoctor

You did it right Nizers. You just can't use the 'hybrid' style in this forum, they only work in the 'Verified Hashes' forums. You have to post as 'normal style' here. I have no idea why.

I am not sure exactly how to get to these files. That is not a link!

Forgive my inexperience with these maters. <_<

Ah...nice to know i'm on the right track then. :)

Diggler, do a search for Norton SystemWorks 2003 and DL the one that's file size matches the verified's. In this case it's 88,584KB.

I have the ISO for Norotn Systemworks 2003 Pro. Everything works prefectly fine and I get liveupdate for a year. :D

File:Norton Systemworks 2003pro.iso.exe
Length:354086912 Bytes,345788KB
UUHash:=gZ4egt2PnHYCxNWmnGSbDqG0Tp4=

Just rename the file to a plain ISO and use something like winIso (www.winiso.com) to extract the files from the iso to your harddrive and run the setup. You won't have to use a CD that way. This version comes with all the utilities, Anti-Virus, Norton Ghost, and Cleansweep.

Sweet! I'll have to check out that .iso file. I've been wanting that Norton Ghost but have been too lazy to search for it. Now, if only i'm not too lazy to find the ISO :lol: :D :lol: :D

By the way, I also installed CleanSweep.

* CleanSweep Internet Sweep
* CleanSweep Smart Sweep

Are these two really useful? What's the difference? <_<
