I've got an oldish mobo which is a KOB P4M266a NDSMx and I want to know how much processor power it can take? At the moment I've got something like 1.7 GHz, how much more could it take? or is that the lot?

(I don't know how to tell, I normally just buy the mobo and processor as a package from ebuyer  )

It's got a 487 processor socket it that helps :01:

A quick google search (http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=KOB+P4M266a+NDSMx&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) tells me that it can support up to 2.6ghz. (http://www.imantech-co.com/news/specssheet_mbmercury.htm)

2.6Ghz should be a good increase from 1.7Ghz. Also, get at least 512MB of ram, and you should see a HUGE increase in performance.
