A quick google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=free%20defragment) shows there are muchos demos for disk defragmenters.
I use Executive Software Diskeeper. It works well, I suggest you look on torrent sites, and get it.
EDIT: And I wasn't sure if you were aware of the defragmenter already bulit into any Windows operating system? But I would suggest a separate program for defragmentation, since the Windows one never does a good job.
Might I also suggest to you a Registry Defragmenter?

Windows has a built in hard drive defragger, use that.

Eh, but could you really call it a defragger? It rarely does it's job.

I don`t about that, it does not have all the power opitions you guys want, but it seems to do a go enough job.

Power Defragmenter (http://www.excessive-software.tk/)
Power Defragmenter is based on Sysinternals defragmentation "engine".
Basically its just a very advanced GUI for the Sysinternals core application which takes defragmentation process to a whole new level. Very high defragmentation speed, efficiency and ease of use.
Such high speed is only available with Sysinternals defragmentation "engine".
Thanks again to Sysinternals Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell.

Thanks guys,
I need to rephrase my question.
Does anyone know of a free legal defragger for Windows ME other than ME's ?
The ones you pointed me to are mostly for XP or 2000.
I suppose I should get XP (I want to, but limited budget)
