Has anyone here ever used it? Does it work for you all or most of the time? How well does it run on 9.2 pro?

(I’m mainly concerned with it running Morrowind  )

wine is still alpha software so its pretty bad. better trying http://www.transgaming.com/ it costs money and does not support morrowind so it looks like your out of luck.

I'll use windows for Morrowind, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it

Interesting :shifty: There’s lots of mixed reviews on it, seems to be hit or miss

well, it's probably because i didn't know how to use it so i didn't get to see the full potential. ;)

its probably because it tried to emulate windows which is sometimes purposesly broken and does not follow the documentation so that it can maitain backwards support for previous errors.

wine is terrible for alot of apps but can be useful for others. that wine rack product you were thinking of buying is part of suse 9.0 which will be very out of date. you should just get the latest version of wine off their site.

hell a cvs snapshot might be a good idea as well.

The wine version that came with 9.1 pro was fairly dodgy. There was an option to install a trial version of that more game-oriented version, dunno how much they'd charge you to unlock it since I didn't get it, what with me having a four OS-multiboot sys.

I guess it might be fairly easy to circumvent the trial lock tho'.
