Just went out and bought a new mainboard and processor. AMD3000+ 64 and
a MSI K8TNeo2 MB. I am not booting to cmos, but have a d-bracket connected. I'm getting " Early Chipset initialization" I have tried clearing cmos, but still have this problem. Anyone know the answer ?

oh well, found my own problem :blushing:
I thought I could run 400fsb ( memory in the 1 & 3 position) turns out I was wrong. Future reference for the next one as blind as me

Which board did you get? The K8T Neo2-F or the K8T Neo2-FIR ?
And do you like the board?

K8T Neo2-FIR [GbE LAN, IEEE1394, SATA RAID]
So far, so good. Once I figure out how to get my fbs right, and take advantage of this new processor, I'll be thrilled. Bit over-kill for now though, cause I do not have SATA HHD's :crying:

I meant selective blindness, and as Rat Faced, NikkiD, VB1234 and some of the others who camped out together on IRC can tell you, the learning to type bit took forever
