i recorded a tv program using my parents DVD-R (standalone, tv hookup)

i didnt finalize the disk since i only have 20 minuits recorded.

when i put the disk in my DVD-ROM player it says that windows cant read the disk, and that it might be corrupted (not likely, i could play it in my parents standalone DVD player)

in my dvd-burner, it doesnt do anything....... doesnt ask me to insert a disk, doesnt act like the disk is broke.....

anyway, is there any way to extract the video and sound from the dvd? i dont have a tv in, so that aint an option, but is there any way to extract and recompile the raw data or something? i REALLY want this on my comp

you have to close the disk, for it to be recognised in any other appliance other than your parents dvd recorder.

you could try cdcheck to see if it can recover the files - this is mainly what the program was built for.
