Dam it you fortunate people,
here I could go higer but its almos prohivitive,
for the 1mb/128k, I would have to pay $100 US Dlls.

So the US Internet Providers better start coming to Mexico (as all the others comapanyes, like NEXTEL, etc.) or Im gonna go mad.
I mean, can you velieve it,
me, downloadin 8Gb of video at 30 kb/s.

I originally signed up for 512kb d/l. However, Blueyonder are nice and last year increased my speed by 50% to 768 kb for free :)

And just because they're nice...they'll be upgrading it again to 1mb ... all for free :)

Dunno bout my upload speed though...

We were all on dialup once, and I bet every one of us was an mp3 downloader at that time, too. It's not naive to download mp3s, warez or ISOs on dialup, but I would definitely suggest leaving DVDs and moviez alone lol.

5MBs OC3 @ college with full computer rights (cd burner and all) :D

and yes thats bytes, not bits. and 5MB is the fastest i've gotten on it, as it shared by 5 campuses and they offer dialup. so i can't exactly 'max it out'

Psch...lightweight. I remember downloading some odd 700mb file with dialup. 28.8k dial up mind you. Sure it took a couple weeks total time (reality a couple months god bless you getright.) but damn it was...well it wasn't worth it. I also promptly had my hard-drive die a few weeks later. Anyway, then we got cable net (woohoo) I think my speed's some 400kb/s download 50kb/s upload. (kilobytes)

Yeah I couldn't find their speeds on their site anywhere when I tried but from the benchmarks I've done when I was at home on the New Jersey server ib dslreports.com I was benchmarking a bit under the advertised speed. Very pleased with them. Except I did get capped at 17KBs once, I also had been using Bit Torrent for a couple days. That only happened once and they removed it after about 2-3 weeks right as I was about to call them, weird.

Yeah they have near here already in Virginia and Maryland.

I saw cable techs running fiber down my street so it's just a matter of time.

I'll definitely be getting the 30/5 package.

You do know that now is a good time to buy Verizon stock?

We are going to send digital tv programming through that same fiber that folks will getting the internet and telephone from.

Because of the huge investment the company is making, however, it will take years to make the money back.

Fiber has better capacity than copper and coax and we will crush Comcast.
