Im looking for a paayserver that cn/has:

At least 30 days retention
98%+ completes
Unlimited usage for a month
At least 4 connecions (8 would be ideal)
NOT cap each connection
Could support a 7mb download line.

Price doesn really matter.

And btw giganews caps. Iv done about 300gb in 4 days and now i have been cpaped at like 100kb/s

If only Easynews didn't have the monthly dl limits,it would fit you perfectly. :)
Read the review on it here. (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/showpost.php?p=953787&postcount=1)

One thing to add though:
You have unlimited connections.

newshosting.com is $15 per month, unlimited, 4connections, and high 20's retention. According to www.dvdrs.net forums, the consensus is that its by far the best in terms of completion, service and lack of problems.

Though no good for you, as i know you connect through multiple IPs :D

I personally still use giganews, never had any problems with them and still able to download files from over 50 days ago on some groups

just an update - i know that newshosting say they dont allow >1IP, but i have had no probs so far with 2 people occupying 2 slots each...i guess its cos im still relatively low on the amount of data dled - only using 2 x 1MB lines.

I'm using Newshosting myself and it's been great, max speed and everything on 3 connections. But a few days ago I had a speed upgrade, from 3mbps to 5mbps down, and now I'm having trouble maxing my speed on the full 4 connections. Should be grabbing at about 600kB/s but am averaging about 470-520kB/s. So I suppose Newshosting is a great usenet provider, until you reach the 4-5mbit level.

Yeah DVDR and Xbox 24/7. Im now borrowing a newshosting account from someone and i max out on 1 connection (1.5mb) easy and they havnt capped me one bit. Also on the giganews account we all knew they had capped us because no matter what we were all stuck on the same speeds. I emailed asking them why and they said sorry we dunno were gonna cancel your account and refund you. They didn't refund us  .

Newshosting update there website with down time and problems which is a nice as well.

Newshosting uses 1ip to 1 account yesh but whatever thier using or if their even using anything to stop us it does not work. I think its just a threat/if they se eyou using more than 1. Also newshosting is half the price of Giganews as its only £8 a month for unlimited.

Yep, between the 4 of us, we did at least that much. I'm not sure the official bandwidth usage, but I know I was grabbing at the very least 24GB a day for the 4 days. So there is my 100GB. :p

Nope, not yet at least... :p

Though I would think that they would assume that when they offer 5mbit connections, they would have alot of users doing the same. :D

Xpat is like a form of searching usernet, i think one of newsleechers searches use it. If your newshosting company doesnt support it then some programs won't be able to search. The reason why some disable it is because it uses massive ammounts of the servers CPU.

ah right, like the newsleecher "standard" search, where you pick out a couple of groups and search them..cool

Hmm, looks like I might have to try a month or two on that server soon. Using NewsHosting now, it's GREAT though, might not switch, already got a good thing...I'm doing about 450-500GB a month from them and they haven't said anything as of yet, so... :D
