All I Can Download Is...

Ok, I've searched here and there and everywhere on my Newsgroup server provided by my ISP, and all I can get, even when I go to alt.binaries.divx, all I get it is .txt and .jpg (usually porn) files, but no movie or application files, am I looking in the wrong place?

There's always a chance that your ISP blocks certain groups.
Search for keywords like dvdr,divx,mp3,boneless,...in the list of groups showing up in Grabit.

But even if they do show up,there's still a chance you can't access them through your ISP :(

Ahh..ok, I found alt.bin.divx, and alt.bin.movies, but being that I'm on 56k, I don't really feel like spending hours downloading a movie. But what I'm really after is warez and apps, and mp3's.

Ive didnt think any dialup services had News Groups and most likely not binaries anyway...

My ISP offers dial-up, and broadband. And since my ISP is independent, they charge way too much for broadband ($45/month for 384 down, 128 up), and besides, their broadband services doesn't even reach my house yet.
