I have been wornding, if ther is an area here that lists exactly what the defintions are for all the post icons listed below the area you type your text when starting a thread. I know some are self explanatory, although is there a reason to have 'em? It just clutters IMO... but I am just interested in knowing if there are true definitions for some of them. Like the one that is a piece of paper... when you hover over it ... it says "post", seems kind of redundant.

Anyways, if someone has any comments, throw them here.

Thanks!!!!

The paper thing is to open Quick Reply to be typed in and quote that post if you want.
What else are you looking for as most say when you hover over them...

Not referring to the paper thing on the bottom right of the actual post once you open it... but the paper thing in the list of threads. It is just there. To me has no purpose, but I was just curious.

Thanks also IKE for posting those links... cuz I wouldnt have found that.

Those papers are there if it's a normal post.
if a userselects a smilie thingy down at the bottom before he posts a thread then the paper will be replaced by that smiley.

Got that part... now I understand. Is there anything other than a "normal post" though, such as... I have seen the exclamation/yield sign... so I guessing this is just a smiley replacement as opposed to having the paper? Am I right?

Either you don't select one of the posticons (smilies) in the bottom panel, in which case you get the default notepad icon. Or you do, in which case you get the posticon that you selected.
