Advent T9100 Problem

hi. why is it that when i am playing a game, it jumps out to the desktop again and leaves the game with no warning or error messages?

i have geforce fx5500 and have updated drivers and everything else i can b/cos my pc has not been on the net for a while.

i apologise if you see this in hardware. more than likely should be in software. if you are seeing it in software, then it has already been moved!

hey vb

it is not just one particular game. it has happened with enter the matrix, hitman codename 47 and medal of honor, pacific assualt. it started with hitman and i thought it may just be the cd cos it is a little scratched but then it kept happening. i have looked thru device manger etc to see if all drivers are fine as suggested by the game manuals, made sure about the virtual memory and done everything else they said i should do. i have put my pc in a state of needing to be reformatted completely, which is not a problem, copy a few things etc that i need and then hopefully it will be fine. i did try system restore but it kept saying it can not restore to that check point so i think i will start creating my own every so often...anyways, that's about the long and short of it
