As part of a personal project I am working on I would like to know how much a big Mac is in as many countries as I can find.

I need to know the regular/normal price of a Big Mac in your countires currency.

So it would look like this

Country Price Currency

LapLand 2.50 Laps

I would like a couple of replies per country, but not many more than that.

Here is our price here in New Zealand.

New Zealand $ 4.45 NZ Dollars

PS I will later expand hope to this to Music CD's, Broadband Connection and wages.

Ever heard of the Big Mac Index? ;)
http://www.google.se/search?q=big+mac+index&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

The Economist's Big Mac index is based on the theory of purchasing-power parity (PPP), the idea that exchange rates should move to equalise the prices of a basket of goods and services across different countries. Our basket is the Big Mac. For example, the cheapest burger in the chart is in China, at $1.26, compared with an average American price of $3. This implies that the yuan is 58% undervalued relative to its Big Mac dollar-PPP. On the same basis, the euro is 25% overvalued, the yen 17% undervalued.

that is one way of looking at it...

another way is this: they are selling right now here @ 2 for $2.22 (or in otherwords, $1.11 each) so......

$1.11 = £0.59. Sounds to me you are getting ripped off :-P

Hello!

I dont know what a Big mac costs but I know what the whole menu goes for the Big Mac meal regular or as it is called in Sweden Big Mac & Company it cost 49 swedish crowns meaning around US $7 making it one of the most expensive Big Mac in the world only Denmark and Switzerland costs more and I think Cyprus comes in 4 on the list. If I would make a qualified guess for just the burger itself I would guess almost $5.

So Mcdonalds are not cheap here in Sweden often Pizza's are cheaper!!

I've never had a big mac.

I need not have replied in this thread but felt it rude not to. :)
