i dun think his problem is as easy as u think
i also have the same symptoms too...bittornado process can't seem to be ended naturally, the residual stays there eventhough the GUI is long gone

my bittornado is 0.3.9a (the latest)

How long have u tried waiting?
it's a long shot but it could be that the program is spending some time still writing to the file even it''s not downloading\uploading anything.
But i'm sure that wouldn't take any longer than 5 minutes,

Had the same problem a couple of days ago, closed 2 downloads and didn't notice the icons were still in the task bar(cos they were "hidden"), when I did spot them I tried right clicking on them so that I could select "close" but they then closed down, just thought it was my pc cos I'd had it downloading for 4 days non-stop, wonder what the prob is?

bittornado 0.3.7

That happens with me too. Except I use ABC, which I think is based off of Bittorrando. I just ctrl+alt+delete and then it's okay.

I am also having the same problem with bittornado. It seems to be a bug. The torrent finishes, and you close the gui, but still the process is seen in explorer.

I don't think Shadow will fix it until Cohen (bittorent creator) releases his next major update to 4.0.
