Ok
i am not well educated but
in the oldendays the geniuses of our times interacted through word of mouth, or through writing (or hanging in bars)atleast my teachers made it sound very ancient.
I refer to plato, levinagh, einstein, russel, newton, Basquiat etc

Since the birth of the internet, which i have only recently (one year ago) discovered,
my question, as vague as it is
what is the effect of the internet on these people?
i think your answer will be "the same as it is to you"

Clarify
Will the web effect their thought - Yes - but in what way.
Will they be in forums like this posting in threads like OMGL33/!!1101

Could somebody put this into perspective please

2005society>intellect>genius>VS historical genius VS web = ?

obviously my opinion is based on a outdated perspective = enlighten me

as in obviously, we have to see and accept the "new" ideas and creations in a diffrent light
and
forget about the past theories which have become comfortable to us.

maybe we should be moving it to the lounge where everyone doesn't think they're an intellectual but doesn't want to say it

i believe theres the mentality in the drawing room that the people in here are above those who post in the lounge. yourself an exception, though you do have the tendancy to use one account to be silly and one account to be serious. you don't try and cover this up but perhaps sub-consciously you don't want to look silly as j'pol in front of the other serious people who discuss serious things.

either that or you have a different account for each pc you use :pinch:

Maybe it's the other way around and with less protocol to follow, they're scared of our rapier wit.

Yes, yes I'm sure that's it :geptard:

Everyone knows that all the intellectuals post in Gameworld. I am sometimes left speechless with the thought and precision that goes into the posts made there. Each a small nugget of wisdom and knowledge.

Check t'moderation, particularly your width sucking thread. You may see me speaking to myself. I think I posted some drivel recently about using t'laptop and desktop at the same time.

However, you may also notice that I only use this acount during daylight hours. Not that I only use this account during day light hours. During daylight hours I only use this account.

the j'pol account thing was a stab in the dark :blushing:
