Hi guys!

I have a problem with my monitor, Its an LG one and I have brightness settings on the monitor and they are set at full brightness and contrast. I am watching video clips and DVD's on my pc but it still seems too dark at times. I was wondering if there was any programs or adjustments I can get / make to make it brighter? Any idea's would be appreciated... cheers!

I have the same problem. My monitor in burn-in a bit. You can try Powerstrip..

Try de-gauzing your monitor.

if you get the latest drivers for your graphics card they should have colour settings. my ati ones also have hotkeys which are very useful but they dont work for the desktop :(

You feel he may have gauze in front of t'screen. :blink:Ummm ... If that didn't work, he could always degauss it :blushing:

I allways hit my monitor when that happens. That actually works pretty well. Whenever my friend's monitor fecks up the size he will just hit it and its good again. :01:

If I were he / she I would take this to be an, at best, temporary solution. No, actually it only happens a few times a day.

Try cleaning the inside of your monitor here (http://60gp.ovh.net/~cleanyou/)

Ya, lots of video playing programs have brightness, contrast and color controls. That was what I was going to recomend.
