Some times I share songs, images or video clips with friends or cousins via Messenger, well, it works, but the biggest thing I´ve send is like 3Mb, so, I was wondering at What speed does a tranfer go using Messenger?,
would it be advisable to send a 400Mb video?

no. msn messenger is crap for sending files. icq is much better.

I wouldn't send something that big over MSN.
sometimes i get random disconnects and for a 400mb file i'd be pissed.

Find another way to get it to him. FTP server or something.

it will go as fast as your pc can go...

and dont use it for anything large, cos if it fails you gotta restart it over, cant resume. best bet = use soulseek/irc/setup an ftp

edit: lol, simultaneous 3way posting :D

Hey, Hadn´t tough of that, but you are all right, I would get so angry and I would have to take it on my mouse or keyboard ...lol.

Tought I never have that sign in or out problem, usualy all the people that I have tend to have it from time to time.

BulletProof FTP Server is the best I found out there for things like this.

msn sucks in filesharing. use IRC to send big files. ;)

Try Skype 'Send file button'. It works great!

Just disconnect the voice conversation while the file transfers for better speed.
