Thanks, its a bit of a blur at the moment. I was expecting an interview first you see.

Basically I am doing two weeks as a temp instead of an interview then if I do ok they will take me on as permanent.

Starting of on £8.79 an hour :01:

That sounds like decent pay at a temp entry level kind of thing.

I think it might be ok here anyway, dunno' about the UK.

minimum wage is about 4.90 and i think thats too high so over 8 is pretty good IMWO

£8.79 is pretty damn good, even for Surrey and Sweden it seems - and I thought that the Sverige cost of living was in excess of our own :01:

Yeah, and we'd be paying 34% taxes on that too. :dry:

But it's still ok for an entry level kind of gig.
I think the post office pays something similar.
