I have a dvd-rw and i need to erase its contents. I used a program called Instant CD-DVD but it kept freezing. I tried right clicking on it in my computer and did quick format but error popped up. Does anyone know what other software i can use to erase the disk properly error free hopefully.

Cheers

I had a problem (caused by a combination of Nero and my pos SONY drive I think) where the disk had no free space after erasing. I've now got a later version of Nero and an NEC drive and I've managed to recover those disks.

If that doesn't work or you haven't got Nero, try Dvdinfopro (http://www.dvdinfopro.com/index.php). If your drive supports it you can erase a DVD-RW back to it's original state.
