Comcast to increase internet speed

Current subscribers will see up to a 50% increase.

Their 4000/384 ($52 a month) will be increased to 6000/768 for the same price. Their 3000/256 ($42) will be increased to 4000/384.

I cant wait, ill be able to d/l at 750 kB/s and upload at 96 :w00t:

Just got my increase a few days ago. Getting ~700 kb/s upload and only 2500 down.

They need to fix it :(

Comcast is always increasing their speeds in my area too, but every time they say it, I test it and see no difference. I think they just lie about it to make us think they're looking out for us :dry:

not always... it makes it real easy to be considered a leecher on private trackers. I have to upload for days on end without downloading to keep up my ratio :(

I know what you mean, sometimes I will download something so fast, I don't have a chance to upload the same amount. so then I have to take a break from downloading for a few days and only upload. :w00t: but I will live with that!! :w00t:

Umm, i have a 2:1 ratio on empornium. Uploaded 20gigs, and downloaded 10gigs. Et its a 40:1 ratio, Uploaded 130gigs, downloaded 30 gigs. :P

im talking about everyone.you can give what every1 already has.

Just simply leave your pc on overnight. I did this for 6 days straight on Elite Torrents , and my ratio over there is 1.33 (42GB ul around 32GBdl)

or you can download the same torrent files from newsgroups or irc or a public tracker then go on and seed.... that was you download 0K and upload maybe 1.5gb for nothing :)


And onto the subject...

I pay £50/month (dunno what that is in dollars) for...

but i guess its ok, coz i signed up for 2046 down and 256k up less than a year ago, and had to free upgrades since. Just hope they make another free upgrade soon, and make the upload a bit faster...at least 512 :)

Or even move to japan or china or whereever it is they have a 1gbps connection for about £110/month
