Hi

looking for a bit of help please. :helpsmili

any time I select an .avi file with one left click on any drive my system sorta stalls. the cursor locks then moves in 'jerk's, my desktop icons all refresh, basically flash on and off. This only lasts for a few secs but is sorta annoying as anytime I want to rename/move etc the files I have this lag. Can anyone offer any assistance. Oh i have xp with a stack of ram and this happens all the time even when my system is n't running anything else.

:)

The easiest way to sort this is usually to turn off Common Tasks in folders.
Control Panel -> Folder Options
