Currency notes of denominations above $100 are not available from the Department of the Treasury, the Federal Reserve System, or the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. On July 14, 1969, the Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve System announced that currency notes in denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 would be discontinued immediately due to lack of use. Although they were issued until 1969, they were last printed in 1945.

I knew we had 1000 bills
I always joke with the bank lady about getting those instead of hundreds, I didn't know we had 5 and 10 thousands dollar bills.

@RiptJ:

i agree

the history of cash is Fascinating

it is the only way i Get something "physical" from the other and feel good afterwards ck.

It is Vital,
that you Lick every note of paper, ( the cash)
and saver the escense of the "soul of that paper"
...maybe make a soup out of it.

so that you realize that....
the DOLLAR
came from a tree
and turned into "paper" (only worthy within borders)
but soon developed into
-exchange
-cyber exchange(non visual)(where actually the entire profit world lives)
-ripped from someone
-given to some dudeness
-wasted cash
-prostituted
-drugs
-vegetables cash
-toilet paper cash
-taxi cash
-found on street
-lost in washing
-lost in love
-uploaded cash
-kebab cash
-cash
