I wanna share 2 of my favorite ´security check´ websites:

1. pcpitstop.com
*full system scan.

Just park your PC in one of our bays and grab a cup of coffee. Our automated mechanics will put your PC safely through a battery of tests to check its health, configuration and performance. In many cases, if our testing detects a problem you can direct our mechanics to fix it while you're online.

The diagnostics take between one and five minutes depending upon your system and modem speed. You'll be informed along the way on the status of our testing, and at the end you'll get a 'clickable' report on your PC's health and performance. We keep all the information you give us private. See our privacy policy for full details.

open the website with Internet Explorer.

click on the 'new member key' http://www.pcpitstop.com/images/key3.gif

you will be asked to install 1 or 2 ActiveX controls (totally harmless)

then click: 'Test anonymously' -> Let's Go

Note: at the end when you need to click 'show results' select 'No Thanks'

here's another good site for checking firewall: https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

A good one for checking popup blocker: http://www.popupcheck.com/

and a good one for testing your antivirus: http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm

If you fail any of the tests you can find help here: http://tvg.pinecurtain.net/index.php?article=security :)
