Why do i always get this error on WinAVI 6.2

i have installed both of the codecs and i still get that error
im trying to convert a AVI to a DVD

How is it encoded?

You may have to convert it to .mpg first(using WinAvi), and than to DVD format.

@harrycary i already tried to convert it to mpeg1,mpeg2,vcd,&svcd and it kept showing me errors

it doesn't sound like you have the correct codecs
