Ok, I have this movie that I want to rip, but this movie is like 4 hours so they put it in two DVDs, is there a way (preferable using CloneDVD) to put these two pats into one DVD? (I know the compression will be great, but It isnīt such a great movie either)

For example, if I where to Rip the first one to my HD, then just move the files in the 2nd DVD to the respective folders in the first one, would it work?

nope. quality would suck.

use DVD decrypter to copy the DVDs to your HD then use DVD shrink (remove the menu) select 'Deep Analysis' and 'Compress video with high quality adaptive error compensation'

this way you keep the best quality (will take up to 3 hours depends on the compression and pc speed)

I have some DVDs compressed to 50% and you cannot see the difference with the original :)

I don't quite understand your post. You should slow down and reread your post before submitting it. for example..
I know the compression will be great, but It isnīt such a great movie eitherhuh?

Anyways, you have 4 hours of DVD quality video on 2 DVDs?

4 hours of DVD quality video will not fit onto a standard 4.7Gb blank DVD.

Not without compressing it in some way.

You could easily rip & compress the video from them but when you rencode into DVD format the resulting file sizes may still be to large.

I believe the best(and maybe only) method would be to use a dual layered DVD. This is only assuming you have this capability.

Otherwise, utilizing 2 DVDs will be necessary.

Truly a piece of cake either way.

Rip it, encode it(if necessary), burn it.

P.S. feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

peace.

Hey ĻharrycaryĻ, I guess I guess I didnīt explained miself well,
about the compresion thing, what I meant to say was that, I knew I would have to compress it a lot, I didnīt mean great as in good. (I guess I have to get better on my english,...lol.)

And you are completly right, it isnīt aplicable to what I want to do, but you are right.

I did it with Goodfellas (older 2 side version). The why I did it had one bad thing happen though the chapter select was all screwed up, but you could still fast forward. What I did was put both sides into HD ran dvd shrink for both of them renamed the VOB's to go in sequential order than ran it in shrink again. Could be missing a step or two that involved IFOedit? Another way of doing it is turning both into an avi file combining both files and then take avi2dvd with CCE installed and convert it back to dvd doing about 4-6 passes.
