I got into the forum thing when doom 3 was leaked. I joined a Doom 3 forum to learn how to edit with the beta version. This was my second and quilckly became my primary.

Edit: Actually, I've just remembered that I signed up somewhere else first, but only posted once. All noobs were on moderation so my post didn't appear for hours. Never went back.

I was registered in a bunch of them way back when; it started when I was trying to troubleshoot a joystick for my niece's PC-I joined some gaming forums 'cuz they woldn't let you post without registering first.

I passed through a few other discussion forums between there and here-I started here finding out about K-lite until we nuked the lounge during the ramp-up to the Iraqi invasion.

This quickly became home. :)

Yes. Joined because of KL and didn't venture past the problem, tips, questions, etc. sections

Then I jumped into other sections while doing music then I realized posting here kept me writing my screenplays.

the first `forum' i joined was on FIDO, you subscribed to a feed, downloaded your messages via QWK and read and replied offline, then uploaded replies later.

i think the first internet forum i joined was the winamp forum, where i still am an active member.

Yup, first forum, and even to this date the only one. Got to know about it through the little "link/ad" in klite, had to ask about a bin+cue question (i know i know, but we were all n00bs at some point).

the bbc cult boards will be closing at the end of february and the majority of their members are joining my cult forum which i started about 6 or 7 months ago, there's a lot of delicious ironing in that wouldn't you say? :ermm:

I had been on several forums before, but didn't hang around long on any of them....

I first came here when I lived in America during long cold nights in Boston... I had just started using Kazaa and spotted that there was a forum... :)

I did stop visiting for about 6 months when I came back to the UK....then one day, just clicked on the link and haven't been away since. :)
