Firefox related, probably

Oh poo, I recently installed Firefox and subsequently uninstalled it a few days later. Now I have an irritating problem which I assume is to do with the above.

When I click on a link, from say AIM to check email, nothing happens, the link is dead on my computer now. The same happens if I click on a link from a received email.

What's going on?
