See tool bar image:

I just ran search and destroy, and adaware and it is still happily living on my IE browser.

I normally don't encounter and download ad-junk tool bars. Did I get this from downloading eXeem?

Regardless of who I got it, what is the best way to get rid of it?

thanks

Cydoor and Looksmart adware components are bundled with each installation of eXeem. See http://www.exeem.com/privacy.htm

do you have something like "Toolbar LookSmart" in your ADD/REMOVE?

S/D sux. Go with what vargas said and if still a problem, run HiJackThis! and post the log.

Yes, Add/Remove Programs should do it for you.
But I have had a few tool bars that would still show up in IE. In witch case I used Iolo’s System Mechanic 5.0 to remove it.

I get those shit bars every once and a while they are VERY ANOYING:angry: :w00t:

They will only isntall without permission on internet explorer.
One of the many reasons IE is shite.

But anyway yes that's probably from eXeem, it's packed with spyware like that. :(
Run hijackthis! and post the log. Also make sure adaware an spybot an are up to date.
