Ps2 And .rar Files

Hi. I dl some games and they are .rar files. I have a PS2 with a Messiah 2 chip. Can I just burn them as a data disk and have them work or do I have to find a file with a bin and cue associated? I did read the newbie post but didn't find this answer. Help.

look in the pinned i have made a guide for peeps like u that are first time at doing ps2 games im running the same set up as u and mine work perfectly if u still have problems after looking at my guied in the PINNED bit in here then just ask agen but its a step by step guide. a lot of effort went into it <_<
