help playing a movie

hi guys, I'm trying to watch a movie...but for some reason the movie laags like crazy while played on pretty much any video player.
So far i have tried playing the movie on: winamp, BS player, Divx player, Windows media player.....

I dunno but this is happing with pretty much any movie i play...I have latest codecs installed on my computer...

please help

I did..but if i play on VLC player the movie plays so fast......it seems like everything is playin in fast forward
