This sucks.

Most forums I use remember your password each time you login.

Why does this forum seem to require me to re-login every few weeks ?

Don't they trust me ?

Are they getting my email adress again for spam sales ?

If they want to piss people off and keep losing memebrs then keep doing it.

Information about your login status is held in your cookies. This is true of most boards.

If you clear your cookies (or use another pc) you will lose the logged in status and have to re-enter your username and password. Is your system clearing them as part of system cleanup? If so, you need to get it to keep the cookies from this site.

The board does NOT give out your email address, and in any case how does having to login have any bearing on your email address? It is not part of the login process.

I don't think I've had to log in since we changed over to the Vbulletin software, so if there's a problem it is more likely to be on your pc, not on the board.

Really?
I don't find that to be true.
I am autologged on three different PCs and never have to repeat the process for any of them.

my guess is you've been clearing the cookies and don't know it.
Do you have any cleanup programs like ccleaner or window washer?

Delete your FST cookies and then g to www.filesharingtalk.com and resign in. This will make new cookies. Also use Firefox and choose to remember passwords.
