Ok
i bought 2 corn on the cob
the ckik behind the counter told me put in cold water and slowly boil for atleast 30minutes.
I don't trust her ( she looked like she had worked there too long)
anyway
instead of looking on google or opening a dusty cook book
How long exactly should they be boiled?
It started to boil 2 minutes ago
Thank you for advice
?

I usually get the water boiling first and give mine 15-20 mins if it is preapred cobs, but if you are cooking it with the "husk" on 30 certainly will not do any harm.

oh shit - i put them before it boiled
its been on for 6 mins - and no there no "husks" (husks are the leaves no?)
so 9 more mins should be ok no?
I great at barbequeing them but this boiling thing is beyond me.

just give them 20-30 once the water starts to boil.... you won't really harm corn by a little overcooking

Thanks for lifesaving advice - they turned out perfect
:)
I guess I joined in to late. If you're BBQ'n, leave them in the husks and put them over to the side that has little heat.
MMmmmm.....
