is there a way i can tell this without opening up my pc and looking at the drive? I dont remember what drives i used in my server, and i dont want to shut it off and open it up and all that crap. I think i may have used an old drive for the OS on it, and i am upgrading drives, so i need to know what im upgrading. :)........yes, i am full of questions today.

well, aida32 shoudl be able to determine the model number of your drive and possibly the speed of it.
If it doesn't get the speed just search that model number on google. :P

If you mean the actual speed it's running at, not the specified speed, then I have no idea but would really like to know... (if i find out how to do this tell me).

Harsh!

Should have got the "Hot-swappable" then you could remove them without powering down...
