I have changed the thread title for you :)

A nice chinese restaurant sounds like a good call, I suggest you check she likes chinese food first though.

You could go to the movies (girly movie mandatory I'm afraid). Sharing a big tub of ice cream or pop corn and holding hands in the dark can make for a pleasant evening. :)

a cave, a haunted house, an abattoir - she might not enjoy it, but that's not what Valentine's Day is about, is it?

Meh, show her how much the equal rights movement has come along and don't book anything at all, if she's upset then be equally miffed that she hadn't booked anything.

Alternatively take her to the theatre. I have never met a woman who isn't totally up for anything you suggest after a night spent watching someone ponce about on a stage. Weird but true

Ha ha ha....this is from the man who bought the love of his life, and mother of his beautiful child.....a bin for Christmas.  Obviously an incurable romantic.

See, even a possibly romantic evening at the theatre is ruined by manker considering that it involves 'poncing'.

Really manker.....I despair, let the lad show his girl some of the romance in his soul (and he might get some :w00t: )

You are merely getting cynical in your oldage....

edit....Biggles got in there first....but it rather proves the point don't you think?

One of my fave Valentines Day prezzies was a trip to watch Marabou Stalk Nightmares - Irvine Welsh at the theatre.

My least favourites were; CD Rewriter and a copy of Scum.

I have scored Valentines Day off me calender this year, but I may treat meself to a new album. :music:

I believed that many may consider my giving out advice on romantic prezzies could be a tad ironic, what me posting recently about buying teh missus a bin for xmas.

So I made it really bad advice - fishing for a reaction.

Me Ma sent me it a while ago.
Isn't she fantastic?

I'm gonna play safe, and lurk in the doorway.
That way I can make a quick escape when I see the paddle coming. :shifty:

It has an interesting perspective - I never noticed it when I quoted - it caught me unawares when I posted. :ermm:

The paddle (like the Terminator) is relentless and inescapable.

Aha, but I'm wearing my invisibility cloak and ski's just in case.

Sneaky sneaky. :shifty:

Fiber, how long have you been with this lass?
Where was your first date?
Do you live near a really posh hotel, or could get to one?
Do you live near the sea?
Have you ever taken her clothes shopping?
Whats her fave past time?

Really, if you need to ask the advice of a forum, you're doing it all wrong.
But I would invest in a Dropkick Murphys ticket for her, and a new pair of steel toe cappers. :01:

The skis will be your downfall :shifty:

However, sound advice to Fiber - although I think he should be wary of the steel toecappers. :ermm:
