Yep, Wayne Rooney did well tonight - it was just a shame he couldn't put away that great chance he had toward the end of the game - it would have made it such a memorable match for him.

I also thought Darius Vassell had a good game tonight, caused problems for the Turks almost as soon as he came on, and David James made that crucial save towards the end of the match when he managed to tip that shot over the bar. It was an ecelent save and could have made all the difference as England were only 1-0 up at that point.

Well done to all the team, and just goes to show that England can pull it off when it really matters. TOP OF THE GROUP BABY!!!

england had better not play too many games like they did in the first half they were useless for the first 35 minutes and i thought david beckham was going to get sent off the way he was diving in at people . a lot better in the second half though . still not convinced about sven as the manager

Mrcall1969 you have a good point there BUT you can no way compare the man u dominance to your premier league as i said you just havnt got the quality of players and depth like we do.I&#39;m not knocking Scotland or Scottish footy in no way just making a point. :D


@baccy_man,i&#39;m not a big Sven fan either to be honest with you,he is too layed back and relaxed,sometimes you just got to lead by example and inspire your team with a good royal kick up the arse&#33;&#33;&#33;Couldn&#39;t imagine Sven shouting and giving a kick up the arse when they need it. ;)
