Love Halo 2? No Xbox? Don't like consoles? Simply an all out PC-game whore?

Boy, have we got news for you.

Welcome to the Halo 2 Mod for Halo CE!!

It's no cure for the common cold, but it sure as hell is guaranteed to heat things up in your gaming life! Built on top of one of the GREATEST video games ever created, the Halo 2 Mod for Halo CE is the closest thing to a Halo 2 PC we may ever see. No, it's not just a map with some new weapons. No, it's not some silly primitive mod with a few tag-swaps and sound injections. No, it's not stuff ripped out of Halo 2 and slapped together into a map. This is the one, the only, the original, the first and the last Halo 2 Mod built from the GROUND UP with totally original content created by real people, with real skills. This my friends, is the best thing since sliced bread.

So what's all the fuss about? Why am I ranting and raving on about it? What makes this damn mod so good?!?!?11 Glad you asked...

NEW WEAPONS!

Who doesn't live solely for pumping a whole clip of Assault Rifle bullets into one's nemesis, and then emptying a whole 'nother clip into his limp corpse as it lies helplessly before you in it's most perfect environmentally-deformed state? Anyone who calls themselves a human does, that's for sure! Yet, as l33t as we are, humans get tired and bored of the same thing over and over, regardless of how satisfying it is. Due to this flaw in our instinctive nature, the Halo 2 Mod team has put together a brand new arsenal of firearms and weapons for you to...do what ever it is that you do with firearms and weapons.

BR55 Battle Rifle

The elite of the human mid-long range category, the Battle Rifle proves to be an effective way to provide cover fire from a fair distance for your allies, or to protect yourself from enemies that you may spot from afar. The BR55 sports a 2x zooming scope mounted perfectly at eye level on top of a self-lit ammo readout. The Battle Rifle is definitely a weapon you don't want to pass up.

M7/Caseless Sub Machine Gun (SMG)

The 'bullet hose', as it has become known as amongst the most trained professional Spartan troops, the SMG fires a fearful 15 explosive rounds per second. It proves extremely effective up against close-range foes, and thanks to it's easy-in easy-out reload system, it's never a problem when you empty the clip while under fire. If you happen to find the right pair of SMGs, you might be able to hold both of them at the same time.

M19 SSM Rocket Launcher

With it's forefather as it's basis of design, the M19 SSM is the most sought-after weapon of the human arsenal. It fires powerful high-explosive P.W.N.T. projectiles which if readied for 3 seconds (by holding the trigger), they can track heat-generating targets such as vehicles or other Spartans. The tracking system is not to be over-estimated, though, because the user must somewhat aim at the target in question before firing a tracking-projectile.

M6C Magnum Pistol

With the introduction of the Battle Rifle to the human forces, the Pistol became less and less of a favorite. The U.N.S.C. weaponry designers figured that it needed an overhaul. Ingeniously, with the use of smaller, less explosive projectiles, they were able to increase the rate of fire and make the pistol an excellent close-mid range weapon to have at your side. The new sleek smoked-metal design also gives it some class when compared to it's predecessor.

8ZS "Shocker" Spray Paint Can

When deep into battle, U.N.S.C. soldiers often needed to mark trails and territories. Yet, while a single soldier may leave the group to make a mark, he would sometimes be caught and ambushed by opposing Covenant forces. So, by strapping an electromagnetic pulsing device within the cans that were distributed to the troops, the user has the ability to defend itself against attackers by striking the offender with the can, and sending a 200 kV pulse throughout their body, often killing on contact. The spray can also be used effectively by spraying into an attacker's eyes, temporarily blinding them and leaving them vulnerable to an electric shock attack.

Covenant Energy Sword

The "Anti-SOB" stick as a wise old man once referred to it as, the Covie Energy Blade is the mightiest close range weapon available. The handle is constructed with a combination of rubber, steel and a plastic-like substance. From balled-edges of the handle, a controlled blade-like shape of a kill-on-contact plasma energy extrudes. Not to be under-estimated, the sword will prove itself effective in close range battle and defense. When the user's hand meets the handle, the unknown substance sends a pulse through his body enabling him to lunge forward a given amount of distance, enhancing the sword's effectiveness. Lunging will only work, though, if the user is running forward at the time of activation. Jumping forward while aiming at the target, and then lunging is recommended. The lunge also proves extremely effective in counter-acting vehicles. When close enough to a moving vehicle, lunge at it. With good enough timing, you will flip over, or damage the vehicle, resulting in the driver and passengers to be ejected from it. While in a daze, wondering what the hell just happened to them, slash them down!

Gravity Rifle

Little is known about this weapon. It is made completely out of unknown materials, and generates plasma energy at an extremely high volume within itself. Kind of like a flamethrower, the Gravity Rifle has a small amount of plasma energy being fed to the tip of the gun. The weapon must first be charged for about 3 or 4 seconds, and on trigger, the inner core of the weapon will release all of it's charged energy and that energy will be ignited by the plasma on the tip. A great ball of energy will be formed and sent forward. When the projectile detonates, the actual gravity in a given radius will be altered, and aimed outward nearly 5 times the amount of normal gravity. The result, a nearly harmless, yet forceful explosion that can send vehicles, humans, Covenant and anything loose, flying outward toward the sky for a given amount of time. This can be both used in defense and self propulsion. Aim the gun at your feet to propel yourself to new heights.

New Vehicles!

For those who enjoy pimpin' around in a hot ride, you're going to like this! We have a whole new set of vehicles for you to zip around in. Some vehicles simply are enhanced types of their previous versions, and some are all new. All of them, however, own to the max. Although, due to the MC's all new reinforced MJOLNIR Mark VI armor, it is impossible to kill a Spartan by simply plowing him over. You will only take down his shields, making him extremely vulnerable to attack. Though, in battle, this has proven to balance things out. Be careful! Your vehicles now take damage! With enough punishment, every vehicle will explode, resulting in nothing but a flaming and smoldering pile of metal.

Ghost

The all new Ghost sports all sorts of cool new features. The most useful one would be the boosting mechanism. By hitting your crouch button while operating a Ghost, you will accelerate at an extremely high rate. This can be used quite effectively when trying to get out of a bad situation, or simply trying to get from point A to point B in a timely fashion. The Ghost also has a new way of achieving anti-gravity state. The Covenant found it to be more power-efficient to allow anti-gravity particles and light to be visible to human eye. This efficiency allows for power bursts like boosting.

M 12A 2 LAAV Rocket Warthog

Much like it's classic counterpart, the LAAG Warthog, the Rocket Hog's only difference in the M19 102mm rocket launcher mounted on top. It is a highly maneuverable and fast vehicle, and proves to be extremely effective on close range targets in battle. With good timing, a far away target can be obliterated with a single hit. The new Hog also has a horn, which by pressing the crouch button, the driver can alert allies of his presence, and maybe send the message "I need a gunner!"

M 12G 1 Gauss Warthog

When the U.N.S.C. forces broke through with gauss projectile technology, they needed it out in the field, fast. So, with a time saving design, they simply used the all new rear-mounted 12A 2 rocket launcher design, with some small modifications. The 25mm gauss gun mounted on the back of this killing machine proves effective against mid-long range targets, thanks to it's extra light weight and high speed projectiles. With a few quick blasts, any enemy vehicle is as good as gone.

M41 LAAG Stationary Turret

Although immobile, this sucker can pack one hell of a punch! If you are in open range of one of these bad boys, the best tactics for defense are as follows: 1- Spread legs, 2- Place head between legs, 3- Kiss ass goodbye. With powerful explosive projectiles, the LAAG holds it's own as an extremely effective defense mechanism. Careful when using it, though, because like the gun itself, the user is immobile.

New Maps!

Zanzibar

New Mombasa

Also, keep in mind that all maps have classic versions available, that do not have the added weapons, vehicles and content.

I've heard a lot about that but have no idea what it really is or how to get it working and what I need to get it working. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime I'm looking on google and can't find much about how to get it working.
