Hello,

I'm using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for quite some time, never had any prb's. But now it seems something is wrong somewhere that is causing Photoshop to crash when i use Lasso tool, or any other tool like that.

I have already uninstall/re-installed the program couple times, but same prb.
So, this time i thought of using a newer version of Photoshop, Photoshop CS 8.0

But same prb. again. When i use lasso tool, or any other tool similar to that the program crashes.

Please help me!

I'm running Win XP home edition, with all the updates.

Help me!

I know my way around PS but this is just a software issue. It doesn't seem that anyone here has any suggestions. Try visiting Adobe's forum (http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html) and asking there.

Hmm

You haven't done anything dodgy with your pagefile settings have you?

It's prolly not that, but it's the one thing that I know is sure to screw with photoshop, it's very dependent on the paging.

what do you mean?
page file, virtual memory, both are the same.
use teh instructions here (http://tvg.pinecurtain.net/index.php?article=tuneup#vm) to figure out what your settings are set at, and you might want to try increasing them. I never thoguht of suggesting this before.
